Partner of the year

Elevate 2017: Balloon One Named Partner of the Year

HighJump Elevate 2017

Managing Director Craig Powell recently attended Elevate 2017, HighJump’s annual conference. Held in Orlando, Florida, the four-day event was a mix of presentations, exhibitions and networking. More than 700 customers and partner representatives attended. We were thrilled when Balloon One was announced as the HighJump Warehouse Edge Partner of the Year. It’s an impressive accolade for us, and one of which we are very proud.

The event began with a keynote speech from Mike Cornell, CEO. He talked about the state of the supply chain market and presented his vision of how HighJump will continue to provide innovative solutions to meet the market’s business opportunities. It was revealed that HighJump is now a $200m supply chain software company, making it the third largest in the world.

He said that HighJump provides software that optimises the process of moving boxes around the world, something that all “HighJumpers” are passionate about.

Continuing this jumping theme, the high jump Olympic gold medallist from Mexico 1968, Dick Fosbury was in attendance. The man who invented the Fosbury Flop – gave a motivational speech on achieving success. He stated that the formula for success is:

PASSION + VISION + ACTION = EXCEPTIONAL HUMAN PERFORMANCE

Fosbury said that if you’re missing one of those components, then you won’t achieve success.

On day two, HighJump’s Chief Strategy Officer, Ross Elliot, gave a technology keynote focusing on “Actionable Analytics and Human Design”. He launched the new HighJump in Action app, which links Accellos WMS to Amazon’s Alexa Voice Service.

HighJump is also making use of big data. It is leveraging data from its EDI network and using that to report on industry benchmark figures, which are included in its KPI reporting tools.

HighJump Warehouse Edge WMS

One of the biggest news announcements at Elevate is that Accellos WMS will be renamed as HighJump Warehouse Edge. You will gradually see us reflect that change of branding here on our website and in all our communications.

The latest release of the Accellos WMS software was demonstrated. It’s an HTML5 responsive design. One of the key features is the ability to drill down from the KPI dashboard into the underlying data and to take action on that. It will be available to UK customers by the end of the year. We will be previewing it at our UK Accellos User Event this coming September, so look out for your invitation to that if you’re a customer.
