SAP Business One version 9.3 is now available under the “Early Adopter Care Program” and offers a comprehensive business solution for small and medium businesses.
It includes a number of functional enhancements and modifications that support new business processes. Although the final functionality may change, currently this includes:
- Simple production routing
- Return merchandise authorisation management (RMA)
- Project management updates, including Gantt chart functionality
- Simplifying and streamlining CRM processes with a new CRM module
- Improvements to authorisation management and approvals procedures
- Price list enhancements
- Excel importing: journal entries, opening balances and serial and batch numbers
- Streamlining pricing calculations
Within the SAP HANA platform, there are also new cockpit templates, with a new analytics portal that allows users to schedule and produce reports without having to log in to SAP Business One.
From release 9.3, SAP Business One will also support XML methods for user defined tables and the visual studio 2015 suite. This makes it easier for SAP partners like Balloon One to develop add-ons for the platform.
There will be a centralised approach to the deployment and management of SAP Business One with the introduction of sign-on (SSO) rights for SAP Business One apps. This will save time for users, and avoid the frustration of them creating and recalling numerous passwords, not to mention the fact that administrators’ lives will be easier, with less frequent need to reset employee passwords.
