On 28th August 2017, HighJump was acquired by the international technology group, Körber AG.
While Körber is already well-established worldwide – and particularly so in European and Asian markets – its acquisition of HighJump gives the business a stronger foothold in the US. The move also introduces HighJump’s advanced software platform to the organisation, driving future growth within the company.
In a statement, Stephan Seifert, Chairman of the Group Executive Board at Körber AG, said that the acquisition means the company is “putting down a marker in the sector as we are taking a leading international position in the areas of supply chain management and cloud solutions”.
Head-quartered in Germany, the Körber Group has approximately 11,500 worldwide employees and comprises leading-edge technology companies and more than 130 production, service, and sales entities. Aside from supply chain software, the group also comprises companies that provide other warehousing and automation equipment, including: materials handling, palletising, conveyor systems, warehousing technology, and comprehensive systems integration for production, distribution, and transport logistics.
With around 440 employees, HighJump serves more than 4,000 customers in 66 countries, ranging from SME business to global enterprises.
HighJump will be integrated alongside other companies under the umbrella brand, Körber Logistics. This business area of the Group provides digital solutions across production logistics, warehousing, e-commerce, and supply chain management.
The acquisition excludes the ecommerce software side of HighJump’s business, TrueCommerce. This cloud based business-to-business commerce network – and former sister company to HighJump – will continue to be owned by Accellos Holdings and its investor, Accel-KKR.
We anticipate that this move will bring positive benefits for our Accellos WMS / HighJump WMS customers. The support we’ve had from HighJump has been fantastic, but with the backing of an even larger group, we look forward to an enhanced level of support and provision in the UK.
